Springtime! 2011

Greetings from the editor at Wake Forest NC Home! WFNCH is a brand spanking new web site, and, for now anyhow, I’m the editor.

As of this writing the NC Home media network was recently launched and has sites in almost every corner of North Carolina. It is growing fast! I think the last count was 16 cities.

Of course, there is News, including local news. There are also news feeds to bring you news from around the state, around the country, and around the globe. Then there’s politics, and my favorite…editorials. That’s so that just in case you don’t have an opinion, I’ll share mine and pretty soon there will be something that I have no opinion about, so you can share yours!  Hopefully you’ll visit on a regular basis, and after a while, you’ll feel free to leave your own opinions on an issue, or disagree with an editorial I write. Disagreements and arguments can be made and still keep a civil tone to them. To share your opinion, whether you agree or disagree, you leave a comment.

Speaking of comments, let me share something with you. As of right now you don’t even have to create a user account and remember a password. We’ll give that a try anyhow. Websites like these get some visitors who don’t really give a darn about what is happening in Wake Forest, or anywhere else in the world, for that matter. They come in and visit, or they send their robot to visit, and like little litterbugs, they leave some trash behind and think that Wake Forest will appreciate them so much we’ll give them some free advertising links to their websites. Well, if they read this, they’ll know that they’re welcome to contribute to a discussion, but if they just want to kiss up to the editor, I can be a mean ol’ cuss. ‘specially if they try to trash the place by trying to kiss up to the editor. If you are one of those folks that just want to try and find a popular website to link at, there’s lots of sites that don’t have an editor with the eye of an eagle, like I do, so we have some huge bouncer robots to automatically try to keep those little litterbug robots from coming in here and ruining everyones fun. We tell those bouncer bots to tell those litterbots they are welcome to go elsewhere and do their littering, but not here in at Wake Forest NC home sweet home.

For those people who would like to leave a comment, just leave your links out of it until we make darn sure we have all the security software working good. Maybe we can help some local businesses in the future. I’d like to hear from all you locals! Enjoy the site!

ps. If you like to write and are a community-minded individual, NC Home seems like a really good place to get a start. It’s all-volunteer, at least for now, because nobody here has any money but later on things could change. There is a thought that if this network grows and becomes a special home for people all across NC then maybe we can take ads and if we do that there will be some kind of split. We’ll have to put together a contact form so you writers can get ahold of us. In the meantime, if you are eager and savvy I’ll bet you can figure out how to contact someone at NC Home. (If not, that contact form will be a priority).

This is just a test of the reply / comment system from the Editor page at Wake Forest NC Home.

Okay….test passed, and that Captcha mechanism works really good also. Folks wanting to reply to the above will be able to, and can type in their email address. We’ll see it, but the email address will stay private. If there are any writers out there who would like to get set up with an author account, this is as good a place as any to ask. You can leave most of your private info out of it and just write about why you like to write, and what is it that really stirs your pot about the Wake Forest community, or NC, or politics or “younameit”.
